Koombiyo teledrama is a 2017 Sri Lanka crime political thriller series created by Lakmal Darmarathna and Damith Chandrasiri. The teledrama was composed by Achala Solomons. Koombiyo teledrama was released in the Sinhala language and has 57 episodes. The teledrama's running time of 17 minutes. The show premiered on ITN on 26th August 2017 with 30-minute episodes airing on Saturday and Sunday at 8.00 pm weekly. The final episodes air on 17th March 2018
Plot of Koombiyo Teledrama
Koombiyo teledrama is a Sri Lankan crime political thriller series that follows the life of Jehan Fernando con artist living in Colombo. Jehan, who has no family or home. He meets Priyantha Mahaulpathagama an unemployed youth from a rural village on a bus. Jehan convinces Priyantha to join the business and named Punching Lanka which delivers retail items to customers under false pretenses.
As the story unfolds Jehan and Priyantha navigate various schemes and scans including stealing an expensive car and manipulating a journalist to protect a politician. Throughout the series, Jehan's criminal mastermind skills are revealed from alliances with local gangsters. Jehan's developing relationship with Hiruni. She is the woman he meets several times and the challenges they face from various adversaries.

1. Jehan Fernando
Jehan portrayed by Thumindu Dodantenna is the central character and a con artist. Despite having a degree in mass communication. He chooses as a life crime exploiting social weakness particularly targeting the wealthy. Jehan is depicted as a mastermind orchestrating various schemes and heists with perception. His character reflects the survival tactics people adopt in a corrupt society.
2. Priyantha Mahulpathagama
Priyantha played by Kalana Gunasekara. He is Jehan partner in crime. Initially seeking a legitimate job. He is swayed by Jehan to join his dubious ventures. Priyantha's journey from an innocent job seeker to a cunning accomplice highlights the influence of the environment and its association with one's moral compass.
3. Hiruni
Hiruni is portrayed by Yareni Noshika. She is a significant female character who develops a complex relationship with Jehan. Her interaction with Jehan adds depth to his character revealing his more human side amidst the criminal activities.
